An artistic meandering.

Welcome to my new blog, The Lotus and The Acorn. On it's pages I'll be sharing and posting projects I'm working on. I'm both excited and nervous! Excited to share with you the things I find fascinating, and nervous because..well...not only will I be talking about myself..I'll be talking about my art.

I'd like to briefly explain the name of my blog. A few years back I took a class taught by Anahata Katkin, and while the whole experience was lovely, it was some of the vocabulary of the class that stayed with me. She spoke of artists having a symbolic alphabet, images they often include in their art. The lotus and the acorn are significant in my alphabet because they represent both artistic and lifestyle symbolism. More on that later...

I have a lovely little studio in an artists cooperative.
